Art in the Streets is the first major U.S. museum survey of graffiti and street art. Curated by MOCA Director Jeffrey Deitch and Associate Curators Roger Gastman and Aaron Rose, the exhibition will trace the development of graffiti and street art from the 1970s to the global movement it has become today, concentrating on key cities such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, and Sao Paulo, where a unique visual language or attitude has evolved. The exhibition will feature paintings, mixed media sculptures, and interactive installations by 50 of the most dynamic artists and will emphasize Los Angeles’s role in the evolution of graffiti and street art, with special sections dedicated to seminal local movements such as cholo graffiti and Dogtown skateboard culture. A comprehensive timeline illustrated with artwork, photos, video, and ephemera will provide a historical context for the work. via "Art Is Shit"

On August 6th the first annual Blading Cup went down in downtown Santa Ana & it was simply amazing. The event was organized by Valo owner Jon Julio & was completely organized in less then 3 weeks. It seemed like everybody who had ever strapped on skates was there for this competition. With the worlds best rollerbladers all coming out & competing the stage was set for a great day of competition. The best part though was the interaction with normal day people who normally wouldn't see anything like this. It was great to see lil kids scream & clap when someone would land a trick & to see their parents just as excited really made it a special event. These are a few photos I took during the competition & I even posted two videos. One is a edit of the competition & the other is a video documenting the making of the trophy. Enjoy!

Moombahton is blowing up like crazy! Honestly we weren't huge fans at first but from the second we heard the first Moombahcore track we were hooked! We knew we had to try our hands at it & this is the result. We have been so happy with the response this track has got & are really looking forward to making more Moombahcore tracks!

We decided to have a family day out & hit up our local Chuck E Cheese. To say we stood out would be a understatement. With me in my inverted cross shirt, Joellen in her anti George Bush shirt & our baby rocking a studded cut off denim vest we weren't really OC friendly. Nonetheless we all had a great day & after spending about $20 we got a box of nerds & some stickers u_u

This Saturday was the highly anticipated Born Free 3! Besides the initial parking situation the event was flawless. It reminded of Coachella except with a lot more testosterone & hundreds of Ryan Dunn look alikes. The bikes were nothing short of amazing & had me snapping photos left & right. Got to meet a lot of cool motherfuckers & I honestly can't wait for next year. I'm excited to see the event grow even bigger in 2012 & I'm already counting down the days :D
